Life Legacy



Kathryn J. “Tuttie” Riste, 68, of 2307 Camelot Blvd., passed away peacefully at Aurora Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center on Wednesday, July 21, 2010 with her loving family at her side.
Kathryn was born September 5, 1941 in Sheboygan to Henry and Ruth (Ehrenreich) Wiroll.
On May 25, 1958 she was united in marriage to Richard Riste of Wausau, Wisconsin. The couple became Sheboygan residents in 1958, and resided in the nine hundred block of Kentucky Ave. for many years. Mr. Riste, a long time Kohler Co. employee, preceded her in death on December 19, 1993.
Tuttie was a Certified Nursing Assistant and caregiver at the former Heritage and Greendale nursing homes in Sheboygan.
Survivors include four children, Thomas (Karla) Riste of Dayton, Ohio, Kateri (Bradley) Gile of Chilton, WI, Rose (Jerome) Christel of Mesa, Arizona and Timothy (Stacy) Riste of Sheboygan; eleven grandchildren, Janet, Thomas, Athena, Kendra, Aaron, Zachary, Andrew, Paige, Devan, Trey and Madisyn, three great-grandchildren, Carson, Lauren and Conner; three brothers, Jerome (Lisa) Reimer of Sheboygan, Henry (Bonnie) Wiroll of Sheboygan, and Charles (Margaret) Wiroll of Waldo; a sister, Shirley Wiroll of Milwaukee; and other family members and friends.
In addition to her parents and husband, Kathryn was preceded in death by two brothers, James Reimer and Richard Reimer; a sister, Barbara Forsterling and two sisters-in-law, Joyce Schmieden and Margaret Dvorak.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, 12:00 noon at Ballhorn Funeral Chapels. Rev. Glenn Powers will officiate. Burial will take place in Sunrise Memorial Gardens Cemetery. A time of visitation and support will be held at Ballhorn Chapels on Saturday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service.
A memorial fund has been established in her name.
The family extends their thanks to the caregivers at Aurora Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center and Vince Lombardi Cancer Clinic for their kindness and concern.
Tuttie will always be remembered for her sense of humor and the close relationship she shared with her friends, family, especially her grandchildren.
