Biography

Doris F. Truttschel, age 72, of 611 N. Water St., died Wednesday evening, July 21, 2010 at Aurora Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center.

Doris was born December 24, 1937 in Sheboygan to Norman and Lydia (Hinz) Truttschel. She was a lifelong, faithful member of Trinity Lutheran Church, having been baptized and confirmed there. She was a graduate of Sheboygan Central High School, Class of 1957.

Doris enjoyed singing in the Trinity Church choir and also served as a greeter.

For many years Doris was employed at Enzo Jel Co. in Sheboygan until her retirement.

Doris thoroughly enjoyed the company of her nieces, nephew, and great-nieces and great-nephews all of whom brought her great joy. She also enjoyed traveling with her sister, Eileen.

She is survived by her two sisters, Eileen Truttschel of Sheboygan and Jean (Gerald) Glitzky of Kenosha; nieces, Jori (Scott) Bucko of Kenosha, Jodi (Brent) Smith of Windsor, CO; nephew, James (Melissa) Glitzky of Racine; three great-nieces, Kinsey and Kiley Smith and Abygail Glitzky; three great-nephews, Joshua and Nicholas Bucko and Canden Smith; cousins, Howard (Sharon) Hinz, Donald (MaryAnn) Hinz, Richard (Jean) Wittlief and Ronald Wittlief; special friends, Duane and Reynale Wenig, Sandy Soronnen, Marlene Albsmeier, and Pam.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 24, 2010 at Ballhorn Chapels. Rev. John Berg, Associate Pastor of Trinity Lutheran Church, will officiate. A time of visitation and support will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will take place at Lutheran Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in her name for Trinity Lutheran Church.

A heartfelt thank-you to her sisters, Eileen and Jean, for their compassionate care over the years.
