Barbara Jean Mueller, age 92, left us on Monday, September 14, 2026 at The Bay Assisted Living Facility in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin. She was born on January 19, 1934 in Sheboygan to William and Muriel (Zeefeld) Brinkman. She was a graduate of Sheboygan Central High School, Class of 1952.

Barbara attended Columbia Hospital School of Nursing and received her RN Degree. To her last day she proudly introduced herself as a nurse. On September 17, 1955 Barbara and Jacob A. Mueller were united in marriage. He preceded her in death on May 19, 1997. They are survived by 5 children, Karen (Patrick) Robison, Edward (Pamela), William (Theresa), Thomas, and Andrew (Melissa) Mueller; plus 9 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

She was an active member of St. Mark Lutheran Church where she sang in the choir, played in the bell choir and participated in the quilting group. After moving to Elkhart Lake she was a member of Grace Lutheran Church. Grandma Barbara also volunteered at Jefferson Elementary School Grandparents Program, Stephanie Weill Center, the Sheboygan Community Theatre Company and the John Michael Kohler Arts Center. A member of P.E.O.Chapter CJ since 1989, Barbara dearly loved her club sisters. Barbara found peace and joy playing the piano, especially duets and four hands with many friends. Her piano was her companion and solace when times were trying and memory was difficult, because she could always remember her piano music. The family would like to thank the staff at the Bay for making sure she got to every card game, craft club, bingo game, and Wii bowling (she's still on the leader board). Special thanks to Nurse Lisa for bringing her horse to visit. Learning to ride as a child was her fondest and most repeated memory.

A private family service will be held at Wildwood Cemetery. Barbara requested that memorial funds be donated to the Sheboygan Symphony Orchestra in her memory on their website or at PO Box 1152, Sheboygan, WI, 53082.
