Obituary

Charles Vaclav Plocar, age 85, passed away on June 10, 2026. Charles was born on April 26, 1941, at Memorial Hospital to the late William Plocar and Katrina (Holm)Plocar. He was one of eleven children and grew up in Sheboygan, where he spent most of his life.In July 1962, Charles married Patricia Seichter. Together they raised four children: Christine, Troy, Charles Jr., and Jeffrey.

Charles was a hardworking man who spent his life providing for his family. In his earlier years, he owned and operated Chuck's Antenna Service, installing television antennas throughout the area. He later worked as a mechanic and gas station attendant for many years at Houseye's Service Station on Indiana Avenue, owned by Edmond Houseye. During that time, Charles developed a reputation for his mechanical skills and passed his knowledge on to his children by teaching them how to work on cars. Later in life, beginning around 1987, he helped build and work at a pallet company with a business associate, where he remained employed for many years.

Outside of work, Charles enjoyed spending time at the casinos in Green Bay, making the trip once or twice a month with his sister, Jacque. One of the most important friendships in his life was with his longtime best friend, Edmond Poisson, with whom he shared many years of friendship.

Charles will be remembered as a hardworking mechanic, businessman, father, brother, and friend. His strong work ethic, practical skills, and willingness to share what he knew left a lasting impression on those around him. The lessons he taught, the memories he created, and the life he built will continue to be remembered by his family and all who knew him. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and everyone whose lives he touched.

Charles is survived by his children: Christine Plocar, Troy Plocar, Charles (Carrie) Plocar Jr., and Jeffrey Plocar; and his sisters: Judy Fisher, Jacque Rupp, and Billie (Marylin) Bradley.

In addition to his parents, Charles is preceded in death by his son, Charles Plocar Jr., who passed away in September 2020; and his siblings Shirley Woolman, Carol Swanson, Darlene Wilke, Pat Griffin, Robert Plocar, Juanita (Katherina) McClellan, and Jerome Plocar.

A celebration of Charles’ life will be held at Ballhorn Chapels, 1201 N. 8th St., Sheboygan, on Friday, July 10, 2026 from 3:00 -6:00 p.m.
