Ruth Marie
Perry
Apr 12, 1933 — Sep 13, 2026
Kohler
Ruth Marie Perry, a resident of Kohler, Wisconsin, who was born in Sheboygan, Wisconsin on April 12, 1933, passed away Monday, September 14, 2026 at 8:26 a.m. On July 25, 1975, she married Arthur H. Perry at First United Lutheran Church in Sheboygan, Wisconsin. He passed away on July 16, 2018. Ruth had previously been married to Richard Fladland.
Ruth was actively involved in a number of organizations during her lifetime. She was a member of the Club 55 organization in Kohler, Wisconsin, the Jaycette Organization in Sheboygan Falls, and the Partners in Reading programs of the Plymouth and Kohler grade schools. Ruth was also a member of the Elkhart Lake Study Club and the Ladies of the Lake women’s groups. She enjoyed perfecting her golf putting skills with the Lady Putters at Quit Qui Oc Golf Course in Elkhart Lake. She was a member of the First United Lutheran Church in Sheboygan for over 50 years and enjoyed meetings there of the Martha Circle and the Naomi Circle. During the summer months, she attended All Saints Chapel, Elkhart Lake. Ruth was an ecumenical person, in her words being an episcalutheran in the summer and a lutherapalian the rest of the time. She met regularly with members of the Central High School Class of 1951 socially and helped plan class reunions.
A major portion of Ruth’s working career was spent at the Sheboygan Clinic (now Aurora), in the administrative area. She enjoyed her work and the friendships which developed.
Ruth had a sense of humor. She preached regularly that we do not grow old. We become mature. Some of us are more mature than others and some of us never mature. She was a loving, compassionate, friendly, and thoughtful person.
Surviving and all loved dearly during her life are her children Scott R. (Clare) Fladland, Gregory J. (Patricia) Fladland, Arthur (Stephanie) Perry, Jr., William H. Perry, and Rae Ann Perry. Also surviving are seven grandchildren, one great-grandaughter, a brother, John H. Blushkofski, niece Risa (Matt) Noble, and two granddogs.
In addition to her husband, Ruth was preceded in death by her mother and father, John and Anna Blushkofski, her sons Michael W. Perry and Stephen A. Perry, her sister-in-law Virginia Blushkofski, and her nephew Peter Blushkofski.
Per Ruth’s wishes, cremation has taken place, and a family service will take place at a later date.
It is Ruth’s wish that memorials be made to Sharon S. Richardson Hospice, First United Lutheran Church in Sheboygan, or the Sheboygan Symphony.
“A person’s life can be likened to a star in the night sky. When the sun rises, the night disappears as does the star. However, memories of the star, just like memories of life, linger on.” – Ruth Perry
