Barbara Gill

Barbara J. Gill, of Sheboygan passed away on Wednesday, June 29, 2022.

She was born in Sheboygan on February 2, 1949, to the late Walter Meyer and Elsie (Schlegel) Niebuhr.  She graduated from North High School and furthered her education at LTC and became a preschool assistant teacher, which she enjoyed for 15 years.  On May 20, 1972, Barb married William Gill in Sheboygan.

Barb enjoyed scrapbooking, painting clay pots, creating pottery and gardening.  She also loved spending time with her family, especially her great nieces and nephews.  She will be deeply missed.

Barb is survived by her husband of over 50 years, Bill; siblings, Walter (Peggy) Meyer, Robert (Gail) Meyer, Terry (Rachel) Meyer, Patricia Verhelst and Carol Heinz; many nieces and nephews, especially Tracy and Kelly; brothers and sisters-in-law, Margaret (Daniel) Federer, Marion Senkbeil, Kathleen Gill and Thomas (Lisa) Gill.

Along with her parents, Barb was preceded in death by her father and mother-in-law, William T. and Marion J. Gill and a brother-in-law Phil Verhelst.

A Funeral Service for Barb will be held at NOON on Wednesday, July 6, 2022, at Ballhorn Chapels Funeral and Cremation Care Center with Rev. Beth Petzke officiating.  Family will greet friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 10:00 AM until the time of the service.  Barb will be laid to rest at Greenlawn Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Barb’s name.

Bill would like to thank the wonderful staff at Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice for the care and support given to both him and Barb.
