Donald P. Hendrickson Visitation and Funeral Service Location: Westivew Funeral & Cremation Care Center Donald P. Hendrickson Donald P. Hendrickson, age 70, of Sheboygan, Wisconsin passed away Sunday December 30, 2012 at Sharon S. Richardson Hospice Care Center after a hard fought battle with cancer. He was born February 3, 1942 in Calumet Michigan, a son of Donald A. and Catherine (Crnkovich) Hendrickson. Don attended Calumet Michigan Schools, graduating in 1960. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy from 1961 until his honorable discharge in 1963. On October 6, 1962 he married Barbara Plute in Calumet, MI., the couple moved to Sheboygan Falls in 1968. Don was employed at the Kohler Company from 1968 until his retirement in 1999. He was a proud member of U.A.W. 833 and the Kohler Quarter Century Club. After retiring, Don enjoyed caring for his yard, washing and polishing his vehicles, including his 1964 T-Bird, and visiting with his neighbors. Don was an avid Detroit Lions Football Fan. Don and Barb celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in October of this year. Surviving Don is his loving wife, Barb; his children, David (Debi) Hendrickson of Town Lima and Joanne "Missy" Hendrickson of Sheboygan, Don's special granddaughter, Taylor Hendrickson; two brothers: Bob (Candy) Hendrickson of Pickerel, WI and Paul (Becky) Wickstrom of Calumet, MI.; a sister, Kim (Steve) Reinking of Holland, MI. as well as nieces, nephews and many friends. Don was preceded in death by his father, Donald A. Hendrickson, who died serving his country in Okinawa, Japan in June of 1945. Also preceded by his mother, Catherine (Crnkovich) Hendrickson-Wickstrom, his step father, Al Wickstrom and a brother, Joseph Wickstrom. A Funeral Service will be held for Don on Wednesday January 2, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at Zimmer's Westview Funeral & Cremation Care Center, W2132 Garton Road (Hwy 42 and Cnty Road JJ). Reverend Greg Whelton will officiate. Committal rites and military honors will be accorded at the Chapel of Eternal Light, Greenlawn Memorial Park. Friends may call at Westview from 11:00 until the time of service on Wednesday. Memorial funds have been established in Don's name to Sharon S. Richardson Hospice and the Sheboygan County Chaplaincy.
