James Gilligan

James Gilligan, 94, of Sheboygan, passed away on August 14, 2021, at Terrace Place.

He was born on November 22, 1926, in Sheboygan to the late Edgar and Minnie (Garbe) Gilligan.  He attended local school and proudly served his country in the United States Navy.  On November 13, 1989, James married Leona Ehlert at Trinity Lutheran Church.  She preceded him in death on February 25, 2011.

James is survived by his daughters, Nancy (M.L.) Love, Denise Keranen, Patricia Gilligan, Sherry Rescon and many grandchildren.

James was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Helen Samborski; by a son James Gilligan Jr., a daughter Jane Binder, a brother Eddie Gilligan and a sister Marion Gilligan.

A Memorial Service will be held for James at a later date.  He will be laid to rest next to Leona in Wildwood Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in James's name.
