James L. Ziegelbauer 7:00 p.m. Location: Zimmer's Westview Funeral and Cremation Care Center James L. Ziegelbauer James L. Ziegelbauer of Sheboygan, died Saturday, December 29, 2012, from a Sepsis Infection. Born on November 20, 1935, to the late Edwin C. and Arline H. (Schmidt) Ziegelbauer. Jim graduated from Sheboygan Falls High School in 1953. He served in the United States Army from 1958 to 1960 in Italy. On return, he served in the United States Reserve in the 44th General Hospital Division based out of St. Nicholas Hospital. Jim met Marlys I. Lugg ("his everything") at the Ruma Roller Rink in Sheboygan. They were united in marriage on August 2, 1958, at St. Paul's United Church of Christ. He was employed by the Vollrath Company as a Tool and Die Maker and later became the Manager of his department. After retirement he acquired a seasonal part-time job at Braganza's in Plymouth, from 2005 up until his illness. He was a member of Zion Covenant Church in Sheboygan and proudly served on the Buildings and Grounds Committee. Jim and Marlys traveled the United States attending Polka Festivals making wonderful new friends which included band members. Jim also cherished all the memorable family vacations throughout his life, especially touring Europe with his "personal travel guides". He also enjoyed the outdoors; gardening with flowers, especially his geraniums and rose bushes. Other interests including building over twelve handmade doll houses for family and friends, golfing, attending car shows with his son, showing his 1965 Ford Country Squire Wagon. His most relaxing time was spent in his outdoor pool, which he enjoyed with all his grandchildren and family. Jim is survived by his wife of 54 years and his three children Zondra (Charlie) Strysick, Lori (Mike) Rivest of Sheboygan, Brad (Dawn) Ziegelbauer of Sheboygan Falls, six grandchildren; Amanda Strysick, Brody, Garett and Riana Rivest, Colton and Braeden Ziegelbauer. His brothers Ronald Ziegelbauer of Sheboygan Falls and David Ziegelbauer of Neenah. His sister Darla Schmahl of Elk City, OK. Brothers and sisters in law, nephews, nieces and many dear friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Edwin Ziegelbauer, Jr, along with uncles and aunts. Funeral Services will be held at 7:00 p.m., Thursday, January 3, 2013, at Zimmer's Westview Funeral Home and Cremation Center, W2132 Garton's Road, Sheboygan, (Hwy 42 and Cty Rd JJ). Pastor Andrew Hopp will officiate. Relatives and friends are welcome at the funeral home on Thursday, from 3:00 p.m. until time of service. Private committal services will be held at Gardens of Peace Mausoleum at Greenlawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in his name. The family would like to thank the Doctors, Nurses and Staff of the I.C. Unit at St. Nicholas Hospital for all their loving care and support. "Dance, Love, Sing" Life is a Song...Love is the Music
