Monica C. Brunnbauer passed away on 1/23/2021.

Monica was born on January 9th, 1937 in Sheboygan to George and Leona Johnson.

Monica attended St Dominic’s school and graduated from Sheboygan North High School in 1955.

Monica married Kenneth Brunnbauer on June 23rd, 1956 at St Dominic’s Parish.

Monica worked at the Red Owl, Knights of Columbus and was a long-time cashier at Brunnette’s Ace Hardware and retired from Trilling True Value Hardware.

Monica was an avid bowler and retired from bowling when she was 81 years old. She enjoyed gardening and playing cards with her “Cousin’s Club”. She enjoyed going to car shows and parades with her late husband, Ken. She traveled to California and Illinois to visit family.

Survivors include her children Joseph (JoAnn) Brunnbauer of Cedar Grove, Garrett “Gary” Brunnbauer (Sue Borth), James (Donna) Brunnbauer, Jennifer (Mark) McClellan, Amy (James) Lavey all of Sheboygan and Kenneth (Jennifer) Brunnbauer II of Hartland. Her grandchildren Joy Gulig, Matthew Brunnbauer, Nathan (Ashley) Brunnbauer, Katherine (Michael) Dixon, Jessica Brunnbauer, Eric Brunnbauer, Jamie (Matt) Siefert, Morgan (Gorden) Parker, Marcus McClellan, Jonathan Lavey, Nayla Brunnbauer, Carson Brunnbauer. Her great grandchildren Dylan Brunnbauer, Addison Brunnbauer, Lincoln Brunnbauer, Zoey Gulig, Chloe Parker, Nolan Gulig, Reina Brunnbauer, Elawyne Parker and Jacob Dixon. Step grandchild Christen (Jason) Weber, step great grandchildren Taylor Thomas, O’Harah Cupples, Brandon Parker, Brianna Parker and step great great grandchild Harleen Parson. Sister Marlene Kollmeyer.

Monica was preceded in death by her husband, Ken, her parents, her children Steven Brunnbauer and Linda Boom, her sisters Marjorie Federer, Mary Ann Gritzmacher, Marilyn Johnson, her brother William Johnson and her great granddaughter Sophie Parker.

A private funeral service to celebrate Monica’s life will be held.  She will be laid to rest at the Gardens of Peace Mausoleum in Kohler beside her loving husband.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be given in Monica’s name to the Alzheimer’s Association.

Thank you to the caregivers at Countryside Manor and Sharon Richardson Hospice for the care given to our Mom.
