Ruth Woepse

Ruth M Woepse, age 90, of 1136 Indian Mound Road, Sheboygan, passed away at the Sheboygan Senior Community on Tuesday, December 18th, 2012. She was Born on November 18th, 1922 in Sheboygan, Wisconsin a daughter of John and Clara (Heinemann) Meggers. Ruth graduated from Sheboygan Central High School and Sheboygan County Normal College. On February 19, 1944, she married Frederick Woepse at the parsonage of Immanuel Ev. Lutheran Church in Sheboygan. He preceded her in death May 31, 2009. After being a teacher Ruth had a career at the Ross Glove Company, where she was an officer. Along with her career at Ross, she also operated the Gibbsville Orchard with her husband and his father. Throughout their years of marriage, Ruth and Fred enjoyed traveling the world together. Ruth is survived by her nieces and nephews; Roxanne (Joe) Meggers-Diederich of Ann Arbor MI, and Jill (Harlan) Meggers-Anderson of Walker, MN, Tom (Barb) Woepse of Rolling Meadows IL, Bob Woepse of Niles IL, Howard Woepse of Des Plains, IL, Donna Woepse of San Francisco, CA, James Woepse of Memphis, TN, Don (Mary) Townsend of San Antonio TX and Sharon Davenport of Huntsville AR. In addition to her Parents, Ruth was also preceded in death by her in-laws; William and Marie Woepse, her brother, John Meggers and brother-in-Laws; Don and Bill Woepse. Funeral Services for Ruth will take place Thursday, December 27, 2012, at 11:00 am, at Zimmer's Westview Funeral & Cremation Care Center (Hwy 42 & JJ, Howards Grove). The Reverend Adam Scheblein, Pastor of Immanuel Lutheran Church will officiate. Friends may call on Thursday, at the funeral home from 10:00 am until the time of service.
