Betty Spangenberg

Betty Jane Spangenberg, of Sheboygan, passed away Wednesday morning, July 12, 2017 at Countryside manor in Sheboygan. She was 77 years old.

Betty was born December 18, 1939 in South Milwaukee, the daughter of George and Mary (nee White) Hodynaik. In 1958, she graduated from Jefferson Junction High School. On June 13, 1970, she was united in marriage with Robert Spangenberg in Sheboygan. Betty worked at Hardees for nearly 10 years, before working at McDonalds until her retirement in 1999.

Betty was an avid reader and loved gardening, camping, canning and playing cards.

Betty is survived by her husband Robert and her children: Charles Daniels of Oshkosh, David Daniels of Glenbeulah, John (Angela) Daniels of Kenosha and Troy Spangenberg of Sheboygan. She is further survived by her step-children: Dean Spangenberg of Denmark, Roger (Kay) Spangenberg of Manitowoc and Richard (Ann) Spangenberg of Cooperstown; 10 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, 3 step-grandchildren, brother-in-law Bruce (Paige) Spangenberg of Elgin, IL, sisters-in-law Sandy (Dave) Captain of Elgin, IL, Janet Spangenberg of MI, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by 4 brothers, 1 sister and 1 grandson.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, July 15, 2017 at 10:00 am at Ballhorn Chapels Funeral and Cremation Care Center (1201 N. 8th Street, Sheboygan) with Pastor John Putnam officiating.
