Candace "Candy" A. Alten

Candace “Candy” Ann Alten, age 73, of Cleveland, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 5, 2025. Born on October 26, 1952, and raised in Sheboygan, Candy spent her life surrounded by family, laughter, and love in the community she cherished.

Candy is survived by her loving husband, Mike Alten, and her devoted children: Chrystal Mallmann, Anthony (Samantha) Alten, Jennifer (Bradley) Erickson, and Jeffrey (Morgan) Alten. She was a proud and caring grandmother to Chantel, Madison (Cris), Mia, Arya, Noah, Lorelai, Daniel, Harper, Hadley, and Raiden, and a beloved great-grandmother to Athena, Demetrius, and Luca.

She is also survived by her siblings: Penny Prue, Barbara Batt, Mick (Sandy) Mallmann, Tim (Kathy) Mallmann, Tom (Rosemary) Mallmann, and John (Shelby) Mallmann, and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

Candy was preceded in death by her parents, Frederick and Clara Mallmann; her brother, Mark Mallmann; sister-in-law Barbara Jaehnke; brothers-in-law Dan Prue and Donny Batt; her beloved granddaughter, Ava; and her dogs, Abby and Buddy.

Candy will be remembered for her warmth, kindness, and the joy she brought to everyone around her. She had a loving heart, a quick smile, and a way of making every person feel special. Her greatest pride was her family, and her legacy of love will continue to live on through them.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, November 30th, at 1:00 p.m. at the VFW Hall Post 9156, 552 S Evans St, Sheboygan, WI 53081. Family and friends are welcome to gather, share memories, and honor Candy’s beautiful life.

In honor of Candy’s vibrant spirit, guests are kindly asked to wear red, her favorite color, as a tribute to her memory.
