Carol J. Born, age 67, of Sheboygan Falls, was lifted up to meet Jesus on Monday evening, October 11, 2021, at her home surrounded by her family.
Carol was born on February 26, 1954, in Sheboygan County to Lloyd and Kay (Van De Wege) Ten Pas. She attended schools in the Town of Lima, Sheboygan Falls and in 1972 graduated from Our Lady of Charity High School in Green Bay.
On June 16, 1973, Carol was united in marriage to Floyd Born, and together they had one son, Michael.
The phrase, “Home is where the heart is” was a perfect description of her viewpoint on life. She dedicated her being to not only Floyd and Mike, but also to her cats and the work of her home and yard. In her spare time, she enjoyed reading, crossword and sudoku puzzles, and spider solitaire.
Carol is survived by Floyd, her husband of 48 years; her son, Michael (Barb) Born; sister-in-law, Lorraine Ten Pas; brother, James (Betty) Ten Pas; sister, Eileen Ten Pas; brother-in-law, Clyde (Carolyn) Born; and many nieces and nephews.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents; in-laws, Milton and Valeta (Stolper) Born; brother, Robert Ten Pas; and brother-in-law, Richard Born.
In accordance with Carol’s wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be NO visitation or services.
Carol’s family would like to thank the St. Nicholas Hospital doctors, nurses, and the home hospice group for their care. They would also like to extend their sincere gratitude to the hospice nurses, Becca, Holly, and Karrah, who looked after Carol as if she were family.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed towards the Sheboygan County Humane Society.
