Cecelia J. De Prey

Cecelia J. De Prey, 88, of Sheboygan passed away on Sunday, November 5, 2023 at Azura Memory Care in Sheboygan.  She was born March 19, 1935 in Green Bay to the late Joe E. and Euphratia (Kaster) De Prey.  Cecelia graduated from St. Joseph Academy in Green Bay, and went on to receive her degree from Alverno College.  

Cecelia worked in Green Bay and Milwaukee as a medical researcher in the hematology department.  She was very proud of her Ceil’s Meals which she put on for the community at First Congregational Church, United Church of Christ.  She also enjoyed her involvement with Peace Park.

Cecelia is survived by her siblings; Bernard De Prey, Ann De Prey, Joan Hogan and Mary Rose De Prey, sister-in-law Nancy De Prey, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and special friend Bob Fleming.  She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters; Veronica (Alois) Gnadt, Phyllis De Prey and Catherine Huisman, brothers, Joseph and John (Patricia) De Prey, nephews; Mark Gnadt, Matthew De Prey and Joseph De Prey, brother-in-law Jim Hogan and sister-in-law Irene De Prey.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, November 17, 2023 at 12:00 Noon at First Congregational Church, United Church of Christ, 310 Bluff Ave. Sheboygan, with Rev. Julia Hollister officiating.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Vincent DePaul in Cecelia’s name.
