Daniel Madson, age 78, of Sheboygan passed away surrounded by his family on Saturday, October 4, 2025, after suffering from Alzheimer’s Disease.
He was born on March 12, 1947, in Sheboygan to the late Arthur and Helen (Otte) Madson-Kloppenburg. Dan attended local schools and graduated from Sheboygan South High School. Together, they were members of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Sheboygan Falls, where he volunteered many hours and especially enjoyed helping at the “Night to Shine” event. Dan was a proud leader of the Suscha-Fale Sportsman Club for many years. In his earlier years, Dan enjoyed playing softball, swimming and biking. Dan was a printer for two years at Zimmerman Printing and then worked in the brass foundry at Kohler Company for over 43 years.
Dan had a wonderful gift when it came to wood refinishing, making many beautiful pieces over the years. Rabbit hunting with his beloved beagles was also a favorite of Dan’s. You could always find Dan outside tending to his beautiful yard and plentiful garden. Above all, Dan loved making memories with his family, especially his grandchildren. His quick wit and dry sense of humor brought laughter to many and he will be deeply missed.
