Danny Striegel

Danny "Dan" W. Striegel, age 55, of Mesquite Texas, passed away unexpectedly on January 16, 2013 after complications of surgery. He was born June 28, 1957 in Sheboygan, a son of William and Nancy (Eberhardy) Striegel. Dan was a 1975 graduate of Howards Grove High School. After graduation, he served his country in the U.S. Navy, stationed at Mare Island, Vallejo, CA., receiving his honorable discharge. On July 12, 1980, Dan was united in marriage to Bellann Leonard. The couple moved to Texas where Dan graduated from Criswell College in Dallas with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biblical studies. He currently was employed with the City of Balch Spring Texas. In addition to his wife Bellann, Dan is also survived by one daughter, Cara (Blake) Henderson of Kaufman, TX., his parents, William and Nancy Striegel of Howards Grove, and a sister, Vickie Ann Striegel of Sheboygan; his mother-in-law, Dorothy Leonard of California; two aunts, Violet Scharenbroch of Sheboygan Falls and Mary (Thomas) Erdmann of Cleveland, WI.; two brothers-in-law, Michael Leonard and Gordy Leonard and wives, of California as well as nieces and numerous cousins. Dan was preceded in death by an infant son and infant brother. In accordance to his wishes, there were no services held. Burial of his cremated remains will take place at a later date in Sheboygan.
