David Charles

David Paul Charles, age 77, of Kohler, passed into Eternal Life at his home on Sunday, December 10, 2017. He was born on January 27, 1940 in West Allis, WI to the late Laverne and Adeline Charles. After some higher education, he worked at Allis Chalmers at the beginning of their computer changeover. In 1961, he married Monica Moran. They had two sons together, Jeffrey and Steven. David worked for several years at the DNR in Madison and then joined Woodwork Corporation in Merrill, WI as a materials manager. In 2006, David married Patricia Cox at their home in Kohler.

David was a very loving husband and father. He was an avid golfer and never met a golf course he did not like. He was also a great Green Bay Packer fan and loved all aspects of football. He was an active member of the Sheboygan Evening Lions Club.

David is survived by his wife, Patricia; two sons: Jeffrey (Mindy) Charles of Oconomowoc, WI and Steven (Danna) Charles of Jonestown, TX; two grandchildren: Trevin and Dilan Baron. He is further survived by his brother, Robert (Sharon) Charles of West Allis, WI and his sister, Linda (John) Mankowski of Mequon, WI; his step-daughters: Mary (Tim) Grall of Colombus, WI and Rebecca (James) Reinhold of Foxboro, MA; other relatives and friends.

Family and friends are invited to visit at Ballhorn Chapels Funeral and Cremation Care Center, 1201 N. 8th Street, Sheboygan, on Monday, December 18, 2017 from 12 NOON to 1:30 p.m. A Memorial Service will follow at 1:30 p.m. with Fr. Matthew Widder presiding. David will be laid to
rest at a later date at Holy Apostles Cemetery in New Berlin, WI.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established for a tribute in David's memory at Bookworm Gardens.
