David Kraus

David V. Kraus, age 73, of Sheboygan, formerly of Kohler, went to be with his Lord on Tuesday, July 31, 2018 at Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice Center.
He was born in Sheboygan on May 4, 1945 to the late David and Jayne (Vollrath) Kraus. He graduated from Kohler High School in 1963. After graduation David entered the U.S. Marine Corps where he proudly served his country. David was a co-owner of Layton Avenue Motors in Milwaukee for many years. He moved to the Sheboygan area where he spent his retirement years working various part time jobs.
David enjoyed golfing, driving his convertible along the lakefront, and making memories with his family and friends. He was well known for making people laugh and enjoying life.
David is survived by his daughters Amanda Kraus, Kimberly Miller and Phyllis Barnett; a granddaughter Emma Kraus; a sister Joan (Tom) Schnettler; a brother-in-law Rick Nolan and an uncle James Vollrath. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
He was preceded in death by a sister Jean Nolan.
A Funeral Service for David will be held at 11 AM on Friday, August 3, 2018 at Ballhorn Chapels Funeral and Cremation Care Center, 1201 N. 8th St., Sheb. with Rev. Robert Steele officiating. The family will greet visitors, at the funeral home, on Friday from 9 AM until the time of service at 11 AM. David will be laid to rest in Woodland Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made in David's name to Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice.
