Delores Katte

Delores Mae Katte, age 88, of Sheboygan, went home to her Lord and Savior on Sunday, December 10, 2017 surrounded by her loving family. She was born June 12, 1929 in Sheboygan to John and Marie (Ruppel) Krauss. She attended Trinity Lutheran Grade School, Sheboygan Central High School, Arthur Hill High School, and was a graduate of Sheboygan North High School, Class of 1947.
Delores worked at Wisconsin Public Service Corporation for six years before her marriage. On June 6, 1953 Delores and Jerome Katte were united in marriage at St. Peter Claver Catholic Church Rectory. After her children were older she returned to work at H.C. Prange Company for fifteen years. She later worked in the office at Eclipse Manufacturing Company and lastly at Art Imig's Dry Cleaners.
Delores was a faithful member of Trinity Lutheran Church where she was a member of LWML. She also was a member of the Sheboygan Optimist Club and enjoyed traveling, playing cards, and league bowling. Above all, Delores loved spending time with her family.
In addition to her husband, Jerome, she is survived by her son, Thomas (Mary Stahl) Katte of South Milwaukee; her daughter, Linda (Lincoln) Charlton of Jupiter, FL; and four grandchildren, Melodie, Michael, and Matthew Katte, and Bryce Charlton.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Richard Krauss and her granddaughter, Kaitlin Charlton.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, December 14, 2017 at Trinity Lutheran Church. Rev. John Berg, Associate Pastor of Trinity Lutheran Church, will officiate. A time of visitation and support will be held at the church from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. Entombment will follow at Garden Terrace Mausoleum.
The family suggests that donations in her name be given to Trinity Lutheran Church or the Sheboygan County Humane Society.
Delores's family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the hospice team and the fourth floor nurses and staff at St. Nicholas Hospital for their compassionate care.
