Diane Hoffmann

November 28, 1933 — January 2, 2017

Diane E. Hoffmann (Peterson), age 83, of Sheboygan, died Monday afternoon, January 2, 2017 surrounded by her loved ones, after a long battle with Alzheimer's.
Diane was born November 28, 1933, in Sheboygan to Alfred and Mildred (Wesener) Peterson.
She attended local schools and graduated from Sheboygan Central High School 1952. Diane was married on May 16, 1954 to William H. Schultz at Bethlehem Lutheran Church. After the passing of her first husband, Diane (Peterson) Schultz was united in marriage to John J. Hoffmann at St. Dominic Catholic Church on January 9, 1960.
She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Parish. Diane enjoyed bowling, playing cards, playing slots (Vegas & Oneida), family picnics; she enjoyed spending time with her family at various lakes in the area, listening to music, an occasional old fashion, working on puzzles, being a Green Bay Packer fan and most of all dancing the night away with the love of her life, John, "Schutzie". Diane worked a variety of jobs, most notably Piggy Wiggly and food services at the University of Wisconsin - Sheboygan and Kohler.
We remember and admired our mom most for being a stay at home mom for six kids. She did everything from supporting her children in Top Hats, decorating the home for every holiday and loved to spend time cooking.
Diane is survived by her six children: Sandra (David) Janke of Sheboygan Falls; Ricky (Sandra) Hoffmann of Sheboygan; John "J.J." (Cindy) Hoffmann Jr. of Fond du Lac; Scott Hoffmann of Denver, Colorado; Diana (Dave) Schnuelle of Sheboygan; Randy Hoffmann of New Boston, Texas; and her nine grandchildren: Michael (Melissa) Janke of Mosinee, WI; Krysta and Brianna (Brett - fiancé) Hoffmann of Sheboygan; Kurtis Hoffmann of Fond du Lac; Kianna Hoffmann of Denver, CO; Travis & Ryan Schnuelle of Sheboygan, and Lena & Antje Hoffmann of Munich, Germany; and one great-grandchild Owen Janke of Mosinee, WI, brother Ronald (Karen) Peterson of Sheboygan Falls; and her sister June (Dale) Kretschmer of Wisconsin Rapids.
In addition to her loving husband John, Diane was preceded in death by her parents Alfred and Mildred Peterson, mother-in-law Anna Hoffmann, her sister Carol Fischer and brother-in-law Vernon Fischer, her brother & sister in-law: Alfred and Delores Hoffmann, her brother & sister-in-law: Dennis and Josephine Brotz, grandchild: Jonathan Hoffmann and her first husband William Schultz.
