Donna Bierwirth

Donna J. Bierwirth, 86, of Sheboygan, passed away Wednesday, October 11, 2017 at home. Donna was born July 15, 1931, in Mantorville, MN, to the late Harry and Alma (Anderson) Sykes. In 1949, she graduated from high school in Rochester, MN. On November 14, 1953, she married William Bierwirth in Rochester. After they were married, the couple lived in Milwaukee. They moved to Sheboygan in 1964. Donna was employed by Sears from 1970 until her retirement in 1987. She was an active member of the Lutheran Church of Our Redeemer, serving on the Ladies Guild and working as an usher, a teller and Sunday School teacher. After her retirement she volunteered her time with St. Nicholas Hospice. She also worked at Childs Play Day Care Center.
In addition to her husband, Bill, she is survived by three children, Ron (Jody) Bierwirth, Sheboygan, Scott (Susan) Bierwirth, Livermore, CA and Roberta (Lindsey) Loving, Chippewa Falls; five grandchildren, Sam Brousseau, Nick Brousseau, David Bierwirth, Melanie Bierwirth and Neil Bierwirth; one great-granddaughter, Avery Raskie and one sister-in-law, Evelyn Sykes. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Lorraine (Harvey) Cartier, Phyllis (Stanley) Heins and Lois (Howard) Wise and two brothers, Harry Sykes and Roger Sykes.
Friends may call on Wednesday, October 18, 2017 at the Lutheran Church of Our Redeemer (3027 Wilgus Ave., Sheboygan) from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm. Visitation will continue on Thursday, at the church, from 10:00 am until 11:00 am. A funeral service will be held on Thursday at 11:00 am, at the church, with Rev. Bryan Osladil officiating.
