Dorothy Hellauer

Dorothy M. Hellauer, age 85, of Sheboygan, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 3, 2017 at Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice.
She was born January 17, 1932 in Sheboygan to Otto and Frances (Peschl) Schuster. She attended Holy Name Grade School and was a graduate of Sheboygan North High School, Class of 1950. On September 25, 1956 Dorothy and Walter Hellauer were united in marriage in Passau, Germany.
For more than twenty-five years Dorothy was employed at John Michael Kohler Arts Center in office administration, retiring in 1996.
Dorothy was a lifelong member of Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church. She enjoyed reading books, knitting beautiful sweaters, afghans, and socks. Most of all, Dorothy enjoyed being at home.
Surviving Dorothy is her husband, Walter; son, Michael and his wife, Darci; daughter, Linda; brother, Emil (Mary Jo) Schuster; sister-in-law, Agnes Koller of Grainet, Germany; brother-in-law, Erwin Hellauer of Untergriesbach, Germany; and five nieces and four nephews.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; an infant sister, Frances; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Ludwig and Agnes Hellauer; brother-in-law, Johann Koller; sister-in-law, Hedwig Hellauer; and her aunt and uncle, Josephine and John Donabauer.
A memorial service for Dorothy will be held on Tuesday, August 8, 2017 at 2:00PM at Ballhorn Funeral Home and Cremation Care Center. Fr. Gideon Buya, Associate Pastor at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church will officiate. A time of visitation and support will be held from 1:00PM until the time of service, at the FUNERAL HOME.
