Eileen Redensek

Eileen Ann (Ziegler) Redensek, 84, formerly of Sheboygan passed away on August 14, 2013 at Pine Haven Christian Home surrounded by her daughters. She was born on January 15, 1929 in Plymouth to the late Leonard and Marie (Burke) Ziegler. Eileen attended Plymouth and St. Dominic Catholic school. She graduated from North High School. She worked at St. Nicholas Hospital until marrying Victor Redensek on August 6, 1949 at St. Dominic Catholic Church. Eileen was married to Victor for 56 years before he preceded her in death on December 8, 2005. She worked 20 years at the H.C. Prange Company and was actively involved in many organizations. She was past president of VFW 9156 Auxiliary, being pinned last year as a 55 year member, Amvet Auxiliary Post 18 and St. Dominic Christian Women's Association. Eileen served as a secretary of Sloga Lodge 19, Girl Scout leader, Catholic Daughter's leader, Cub Scout den mother, Red Cross volunteer and also served as a poll worker for the City of Sheboygan. She was currently a member of Immaculate Conception Church. Eileen enjoyed reading books and playing bingo. As a devoted mother and wife, she took great pride in her family and loved the time spent with family. Eileen will be remembered as a caring, sweet woman and always eager to share a hug and a kiss. She taught her family the true meaning of love with her caring heart and eagerness to help everyone. She is survived by her children, Katherine (Bruce) Kunert, Sheboygan, Patricia (Steven) Schmidt, Sheboygan and Helen (Cameron) Kath, Sheboygan Falls; eight grandchildren, Amy Kunert, San Francisco, CA, Paul Kunert, Sheboygan, Nicole (Kevin) Sargent, Sheboygan, Ryan (Anna) Schmidt, West Allis, Holly (Ryan) Keenan, Plymouth, Curt Schmidt, Madison, Morgan and Courtney Kath, Sheboygan Falls and six great-grandchildren, Trevor Korkko, Natalie and Carly Sargent, Ava and Nora Schmidt and Egan Keenan. She is also survived by other relatives, nieces, nephews and friends. Eileen was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Henry and Gerald, husband Victor, son Allen, in-laws John and Mary Redensek and sisters-in-law, Carol Ziegler, Olga Cvetan and Bernice Valand. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Sunday, August 18, 2013 at St. Dominic Catholic Church (2133 N. 22nd Street, Sheboygan) at 4:00 p.m. with Father Bob Lotz officiating. Friends may call at the church Sunday from 1:30 p.m. until 3:45 p.m. The VFW 9156 Ladies Auxiliary will be having a special service at 3:45 p.m. prior to the start of the Mass. A private family burial will be held at Greendale Cemetery. The family would like to thank the staff of Pine Haven and Sharon S. Richardson Hospice for their loving care they provided. Memorial contributions will be directed to the Sheboygan County Cancer Center Fund and Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
