Eileen C. Truttschel, age 84, of Sheboygan Progressive Care Center, passed away on Monday, May 18, 2026.

She was born on August 14, 1941 in Sheboygan to the late Norman and Lydia (Hinz) Truttschel.

She was a lifelong, faithful member of Trinity Lutheran Church, having been baptized and confirmed there. She enjoyed singing in their choir for many years.

She was a graduate of Sheboygan Central High School, Class of 1960.

From the time of her high school graduation, Eileen was always employed. Her most recent employment was with Wigwam Mills from January 1978 until the time of her car accident in June 2005.

Since the accident, Eileen was a resident at Sheboygan Progressive Care Center, where she always enjoyed participating in games and activities. She was very social.

Eileen thoroughly enjoyed the company of her nieces, nephew, and great-nieces and great-nephews, all of whom brought her great joy.

She is survived by her sister, Jean Glitzky of Kenosha, nieces Jori (Doug) Swartz of Kenosha, Jodi (Brent) Smith of Windsor, CO, and nephew James (Melissa) Glitzky of Kenosha. She is also survived by great-nephews Joshua and Nicholas Bucko, Camden Smith, and Carsten Glitzky, great-nieces Kinsey and Kiley Smith, and Abygail Glitzky, cousin Richard (Jean) Wittlief, as well as friends Jane, Mary and Karen.

In addition to her parents and grandparents, Eileen was preceded in death by her sister Doris in 2010, her brother-in-law, Gerald Glitzky in 2020, several aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friend, Florence Malloy.

A Funeral Service for Eileen will take place at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, June 2, 2026, at Ballhorn Chapels Funeral Home, 1201 N 8th St. in Sheboygan, with Pastor John Berg officiating. Family will greet visitors on Tuesday, at the funeral home, from 10:30 AM until the time of the service. Eileen will be laid to rest at Lutheran Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in her name for Trinity Lutheran Church.

A heartfelt thank-you to her sister, Jean and her family for their emotional support throughout the years, and to the caring staff at Sheboygan Progressive Care Center.
