Elaine L. Gorr

Elaine L. Gorr, age 86, of Sheboygan, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 25, 2025, at Pine Haven Christian Communities in Sheboygan Falls.

She was born in Sheboygan on September 7, 1938, to the late Alfred and Marguerite (Heitz) Meyer. She graduated from Central High School. On September 14, 1957, Elaine was united in marriage to Otto Gorr Jr. in Sheboygan. She was employed at Thomas Industries for over 30 years, retiring in 2008.

Elaine enjoyed playing sheepshead with her grandsons and cribbage with Rob and Chaplain Joe, along with the Friday card group get togethers. She also liked the occasional trip to the casino, playing bingo, and was also an avid bowler.

She is survived by her children, Wendy (John Meyer) Yinko, Debbie (Paul) Healy, and Pete (Amy Shaw) Gorr; grandchildren, Frank (Mandi) Yinko, Rob (Pam) Yinko, Jim (Becca) Yinko, Laurie (Jamie) Groh, Tom Healy, Jessie (Zak) DeVries, Derek (Elise) Healy, Emily (Sebastian) Moncayo, Brandon Gorr, Matthew Gorr and Joey Gorr; 13 great-grandchildren; siblings, Doris Kober and Dennis Meyer; a sister-in-law, Nancy Meyer and a special friend, Rhonda Mesanovic; nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

Along with her parents and husband, Elaine was preceded in death by a son, Charles Gorr and her siblings, Harry, Robert, Elmer, Walter, Edward, Arnold, Herbert, Wallace, Henry, Kenneth, Marguerite, Ruby and Betty.

A time of visitation for Elaine will be held from 1:00 PM until 4:00 PM on Sunday, July 13, 2025, at Ballhorn Chapels Funeral & Cremation Care Center, 1201 N 8th St. in Sheboygan.

A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, July 14, 2025, at Greenlawn Memorial Park, 6706 Superior Ave. in Kohler. For those who would like to attend the service virtually, can do so on Elaine’s obituary page on the funeral home website.

Memorial donations can be made in Elaine's name to either Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice or to Pine Haven Christian Communities. Both of these organizations have taken such great care of Elaine during this time and a thank you just doesn’t seem enough.
