Emmet Truttschel

February 13, 1933 — March 4, 2013

Emmet A.Truttschel, age 80, of Howards Grove, passed away peacefully at his residence on Monday March 4, 2013. He was born February 13, 1933 in the Town of Meeme, Manitowoc County Wisconsin, a son of the late Ervin and Aurelia (Sixel) Truttschel. Emmet attended Haven Grade School and was a 1950 graduate of Sheboygan Central High School. Evangeline Lechler and Emmet Truttschel were united in marriage on September 4, 1954 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Kiel. She preceded him in death on November 6, 2001. Emmet was a sheet metal technician with Neumann Plumbing & Heating for over 45 years until his retirement. Emmet was a dedicated member of Grace Lutheran Church in Haven, and was the former sexton of Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery in Town Mosel. Emmet was always on the go, and he treasured the time he had at his cabin by the woods, deer hunting and snowmobiling. He was a member of the Howards Grove Senior Center and their Dartball Team, a longtime member of the Howards Grove Firefighters where he was former captain and treasurer of the department, and was active with the Lakeshore Driftbusters Snowmobile Club. Emmet loved polka music, dancing and playing sheephead as well.He enjoyed the fun times spend with his family and friends and annual sausage making with his family and friends. Surviving Emmet is a son, James (Mary) of Howards Grove; two daughters, Judith (Ray) Glander of rural Plymouth and Jill (John) Pelnar Sr. of Howards Grove; seven grandchildren, Adam ( Becky), Benjamin (Fiancé Kayla Fermanich) and Tyler (Special friend Brittnee Bitter) Truttschel, Rebecca (Derek) Pelnar and Samantha (Adam) Chaffin, Amber Buchmann and Brooke (Special friend Kris Milner) Buchmann; six great-grandchildren, Cameron, Kennidy, Lauryn Pelnar, Ava and Lilly Truttschel and Maddison Chaffin; his stepfather-in-law, Herman Binversie of Kiel; a brother, Eugene (Shelby) Truttschel, a sister, LuAnn (Dennis) Baker, both of Sheboygan A sister-in-law, Kathleen Sixel of Cleveland;, as well as nieces, nephews and many friends, survives him as well. In addition to his wife and parents, he was also preceded in death by a sister-in-law, Nancy Truttschel,a brother in law, Donald Sixel and his mother and father-in-law Florence (Lechler) Binversie and Mike Lechler. A Funeral Service and Christian Burial will be conducted for Emmet on Friday March 8, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Grace Lutheran Church. W1264 CTH FF, Haven. Reverend Kenneth R. Serr and Reverend Bryan Osladil will officiate. Interment will be in Immanuel Cemetery, Town Mosel. Friends may call at Zimmer's Westview Funeral & Cremation Care Center on Thursday from 3 until 8 p.m. and at the CHURCH on Friday from 9 a.m. until the time of service. A Memorial Fund has been established in the name of Emmet Truttschel to Grace Lutheran Church. The Truttschel family wishes to thank the wonderful nurses at the St. Nicholas Hospital Dialysis Center, and Doctors Johnson, Matthews, and Coulis.
