Fannie Smith, 72, of Sheboygan, passed away on Friday, March 6, 2026, at home. She was born on May 16, 1953, to the late Leroy and Daisy (Bowman) Smith. She graduated from Simmons High School and spent two years at Mississippi Valley State University. She later spent time in Gretna, LA working for Dos Gringos and then moved to San Clemente, CA, where she worked at the nuclear power plant before returning to Hollandale. She worked for Leroy Percy State Park while also taking speech pathology classes at Delta State University in Cleveland, MS. She further continued her education by taking an entrepreneur class at Mississippi Valley State University. After her time in Mississippi, she relocated to Milwaukee, WI, where she took classes, obtained her real estate license, and worked for Century 21. Eventually, she moved to Mulberry Grove, IL, where she worked for Greenville University with the kitchen staff.

During her time in Mulberry Grove, she continued her love for fishing, gardening, cooking, baking, and making her homemade wine. Years later, she relocated to Sheboygan, WI. She spent her time there enjoying all her favorite activities, in addition to playing cards and socializing with her close-knit group of neighbors.

Fannie was a kind, generous, and faithful servant to her Lord. Her children, grandchildren, sisters, and other family were always at the center of her heart. Her hardworking demeanor and humorous outlook on life allowed everyone around her to find joy in the simplest of things.
