Florence Guenther

Florence A. Guenther, 95, of Aurora, IL, passed away Monday, October 23, 2017 at Presence McAuley Manor, Aurora. Florence was born April 9, 1922, in Aurora, Minnesota, to the late John and Mary Podrzaj. She was a proud homemaker for many years. Florence baked countless loaves of bread and batches of cookies for her family and friends. When she had to move to Illinois, she became a die-hard Cubs fan and was able to enjoy their World Series win.
Survivors include her two children, David Guenther (Valerie) and Mary Spoden (Mark), her grandchildren Tom (Kristin), Katie and Anne Spoden and Stephanie and Robert Guenther, along with her great-grandchildren, Alexis, Tyler and Emmett Spoden.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas, her parents and her sister, Mary A. Podrzaj.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, October 28, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Ss. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church (822 New Jersey Avenue, Sheboygan) with the Rev. Paul Fliss as celebrant.
