Gertrude Seefeldt

August 25, 1924 — December 10, 2017

Gertrude "Ruth" Seefeldt, age 93, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 10, 2017 and is now resting in Heaven. She passed away at The Waterford Assisted Living in Plymouth where she was a resident for the past year and a half. She was born August 25, 1924 in Sheboygan to the late Philip and Elizabeth Wiegand. On August 30, 1947 Ruth married John Seefeldt in Sheboygan. She was a homemaker, a wonderful cook and a devoted wife and mother. Family and relatives were central to her life and she enjoyed family get togethers. Ruth also loved to crochet and enjoyed watching sports.

Ruth is survived by her son, Michael (JoAnn) Seefeldt of Sheboygan and other relatives.

Preceding Ruth in death were her parents; her husband, John; siblings: Julie Ledden, Elizabeth Kvindlog, Edna Mueller, Hilda Wiegand, Herman Wiegand and Robert Wiegand; brothers-in-law: James Ledden, Melvin Kvindlog, and Edward Mueller; sisters-in-law: Marie Wiegand and Marilyn Wiegand.

Family and friends are invited to visit at Ballhorn Chapels Funeral and Cremation Care Center, 1201 N. 8th Street, Sheboygan, on Wednesday, December 13, 2017 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. The Funeral Service will follow at 11 a.m. with Rev. Timothy Mech presiding. Ruth will be laid to rest at Lutheran Cemetery.

Ruth's family would like to thank the caregivers at Terrace Place, The Waterford and Compassus Hospice for their loving care of Ruth.
