Imogene Wilson

Imogene "Jean" Wilson, 89 of Sheboygan, died Monday, August 21, 2017 at Sheboygan Health Services, where she resided the last 4 years. Jean was born April 6, 1928 in Gillett, WI to the late Jacob and Emma (Lockstein) Leschke. On May 14, 1946, she was united in marriage to Alvie H. Wilson at Grace Lutheran Church in Oconto Falls, WI. Jean enjoyed reading, doing crossword puzzles, all different kinds of crafts, especially making quilts and Christmas tree skirts which she made sure her children and grandchildren all had one. She enjoyed going up north to their cottage in Pembine where she usually spent her summers. She enjoyed taking care of children and was a girl scout leader for many years. Jean enjoyed traveling to areas in the U.S. and different countries with her good friends Joyce and Royal Cappelle of Ashwaubenon.

Jean is survived by her daughter, Carol Post and two sons, David (Michelle) and Richard (Marjo), all of Sheboygan and son-in-law Ted Bergstrom; grandchildren Peter (Renee) Bergstrom, Tyler (special friend Wendy Garski) Bergstrom, Melissa Post, Amanda (Jesse) Gall, Crystal Wilson and Cory Ehnert and 4 great-grandchildren. Further survived by her sister Betty Schuh of Sheboygan, brother-in-law John Wilson of Oconto Falls, sister-in-law Betty Sosinski of Oconto, WI, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Jean was preceded in death by her husband Alvie, an infant daughter Karen, daughter Luanne Bergstrom, brother William (Barbara) Leschke and son-in-law Daniel Post.

A graveside committal ceremony will be held at a later date at Wanderer's Rest Cemetery in Gillett, WI.

Jean's family would like to thank the staff at Sheboygan Health Services and St. Nicholas hospice for all their loving and dedicated care.
