Jack E. Schaap, 82, of Sheboygan passed away peacefully at home with his loving wife by his side on Friday, April 17, 2026.

He was born in Plymouth on September 3, 1943, to the late John and Arlen (Widder) Schaap. On September 5, 1964, Jack was united in marriage to Penny Grube at Wesley Methodist Church. Jack was employed at Kohler Company for many years and retired from Fresh Brands Piggly Wiggly after 27 years, in 2005. He was a member of Ebenezer United Church of Christ.

Jack enjoyed hunting and fishing, but golf definitely being his favorite. Over the years, Jack’s happy place was the golf course, he and Penny enjoyed many rounds of golf with family and friends. After retirement, Jack worked one year at Blackwolf Run and then was the starter at The Bull for 15 years. He met many interesting people from all over the world that came to play there.

One of the joys in his life was attending the many activities of his children from early childhood through adulthood. Whenever the boys needed help, he was there and enjoyed every minute of making memories with them, especially his grandchildren. What Jack really looked forward to was the winter months spent in Florida playing golf with his friends.
