James L. Juntz, Age 90, died Thursday, February 19, 2026
Jim was born February 10, 1936 in Sheboygan to the late Louis and Martha (Ott) Juntz.
He was a life member of St. Peter Claver Catholic Church, from whose church school he graduated in 1950.
Jim was a 1954 graduate of Central High School. In October 1956, he entered the U.S. Army at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. After basic training he attended The Signal School at Fort Monmouth, New Jersey. From October 1957 to August 1959, he was assigned to Company B, 102nd Signal Battalion in and around Munich and Stuttgart, Germany as a microwave radio equipment repairman.
In June, 1963 Jim received a BBA degree in Accounting from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. For many years he worked for the State of Wisconsin.
Jim was a generous man and he supported many worthwhile causes throughout his lifetime. Jim was an interesting conversationalist. Whether it was family events or interesting facts about history or the Sheboygan community, he had the amazing ability to remember people, places, and dates in great detail and enjoyed sharing those details. He will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by those who knew and loved him.
Jim is survived by his cousins, Larry Ott, Gail (Dan Flynn) Savage, Leigh (Debbie) Ott, Julie (Mark) Post, Kevin (Carol) Ott; special neighbor Gladys and buddies he grew up with, “the 12th St. gang.”
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant sister, Luanne.
As per his request, there will be no visitation or burial service. Burial will take place in Greendale Cemetery in Sheboygan.
