Jeanette Boedeker

Jeanette E. Boedeker, 88, of Sheboygan Falls, passed away Tuesday, December 31, 2013 at Pine Haven Christian Home. Jeanette was born April 2, 1925 in Howards Grove to the late Albert and Magdalena (Matznick) Schneider. She attended school in Howards Grove and Sheboygan Business College. Jeanette worked at Vollrath Company and HC Prange Company before working 18 years as a baker in the lunch room of Howards Grove Elementary School. On May 4, 1946 she married LeRoy Valenstein. He preceded her in death on March 28, 1981. On December 26, 1982 she married Daniel Boedeker. He preceded Jeanette in death on September 27, 2012. Jeanette traveled with friends and relatives to Germany, Denmark, Holland, Switzerland, Okinawa, the Philippines and Hawaii. She lived in Howards Grove before moving to Pine Haven Christian Home in Sheboygan Falls in 2010. Survivors include her four daughters, Linda Damrow, Manitowoc, Sue (Verlyn) Ackerman, Rosemount, MN, Paula (Larry) Arcand, Crystal Falls, MI and Ruth (Kerry) Semph, Cleveland; six grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; two sisters, Grace Barthels, Lakewood, CO; Edith (Duane) Hintz, Hollywood, MD; one brother, Roy Schneider, Sun Lakes, AZ; one stepson, Mike (Sue) Boedeker, Shelby Township, MI; two stepdaughters, Cathy (Mike) Bogdanovich, Waukesha and Laurie (Mike) Lorenz, Sheboygan Falls; nine step-grandchildren; six step-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, one son, Paul, one infant daughter, two sons-in-law, Donald Damrow and Randall Voland, one sister-in-law, Shirley Schneider. A funeral service for Jeanette will be held on Saturday, January 4, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church, Howards Grove, with the Rev. Tom Unke officiating. Friends may call on Saturday, at the church, from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will follow in the St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery. A memorial fund has been established in her name. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Pine Haven Christian Home for the compassionate care she received.
