Joan A. Metscher

January 27, 1928 — November 3, 2025

Joan A. Metscher passed away on November 3, 2025. She was born to Charles and Ida (Altenbach) Metzdorf on January 27, 1928. She married the love of her life Marvin Metscher on July 14, 1951. 

Joan graduated from Sheboygan North High School and worked as a Salesperson at Pranges for 15 years. She was a member of St. Ann’s Society and participated in Aerobics Class (water) at the Recreation Department for over 25 years.

Joan is survived by her children; Jerry (Micki) Metscher, Susan (Ed) Heil, Kristi (Dennis) Scheibl, and son-in-law Gordon Pierret.

She is preceded in death by her husband Marvin Metscher; her parents, her sisters; Doris Metzdorf and Annette Thimmig, her brother-in-law Edgar Thimmig, and her daughter Lori Pierret,

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you contribute a memorial fund to Holy Name of Jesus in her honor or a donation of your choice in her name.

A Funeral Mass will be held for Joan at Holy Name of Jesus Parish in Sheboygan on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, at 11:00 am. Visitation will take prior to the Mass at church from 10:00am – 10:45am. Her inurnment will take place at Calvary Cemetery, Sheboygan, at a later time.
