Joseph Uraynar

April 24, 1970 — April 25, 2021

On Sunday, April 25, 2021, Joseph Lee Uraynar, beloved son, brother, and friend, lost his battle with cancer. He had just celebrated his 51st birthday.

Joe was raised in Sheboygan, Wisconsin and attended North High. Although he did not enjoy school, Joe did love learning. He was particularly passionate about woodworking and taught himself how to use the lathe to produce beautiful pieces of craftsmanship. In 2008, Joe graduated from Lakeshore Technical College with a certification in welding. He was last employed at Stoelting, but, in recent years, he devoted a majority of his time to caring for his mother and playing with his nieces and nephew.

Joe was always ready to lend a hand. He was a gifted artist who delighted in sharing his knowledge and skills. He was the “life of the party” and was quick to make jokes-- especially at others’ expense. If he teased you, he loved you.

Joe was preceded in death by his grandparents, Joseph (Marie) Uraynar and Fred (Dorothy) Behnke. He was further preceded by his paternal uncles, Jim (Pat) Uraynar, Joe (Mary) Uraynar, and Anton (Marlene) Uraynar. He is survived by his father, Frank Uraynar, his mother, Carol (Behnke) Uraynar, and his sisters, Tammy (Maggy) Green and Lisa (Jim) Blaha. Joe did not have biological children, but he was a father figure to Krista (Sarah) Howell and Stellina (Joseph) Brunner, both of whom he adored.
