Joshua Rahn, age 44, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, January 19, 2026.
Josh was born on February 15, 1981, in Sheboygan, Wisconsin.
Josh was a devoted husband, father, son, brother, uncle, and friend. He was deeply empathetic and easygoing, with a steady presence that made people feel comfortable and understood.
Josh worked as a substance abuse counselor, where he helped countless individuals navigate recovery with patience, honesty, and respect. His work reflected who he was—someone who listened first and met people where they were at.
Hockey and skateboarding were passions he carried with him from his youth and were activities that shaped him early and stayed part of who he was. As a father, he found deep joy in sharing those interests with his son, Parker, especially hockey.
Above all, Josh loved his family. There was nothing he valued more than the small everyday moments that came with spending time with them and his dog. From playing “shinny” with his son, Parker, coloring with his niece, Grace, and playing football with his nephew, Luke. Josh always made time for the kids and loved to make them laugh.
Anyone who knew Josh knew he was an avid collector. Everything from shoes and hats to Pokémon cards. He was always on the hunt for ‘the deals and steals’ in the clearance aisles. And he always shared his found treasures with Parker, Grace, and Luke with frequent surprise fidgets, stuffies or toys; always finding joy in bringing happiness to others.
Josh left an impression on everyone that was fortunate to meet him. He had the ability to make friends with anyone and connect on a personable level. He is loved always and will be missed forever.
He is survived by his wife, Morgan; their son, Parker; his mother, Susan Rahn; his brother, John Rahn (Mike Capasso); his nephew Luke and niece Grace; and his mother-in-law Les Ann Jones. He was preceded in death by his father, Steven Rahn.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, from 3:00–6:00 PM at the Deland Community Center, 901 Broughton Drive, Sheboygan, WI 53081.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made toward Parker’s Future via Ever Loved or directly via Venmo.
