June Martin

June Emma Martin, 89, of Sheboygan, passed away Thursday, January 19, 2017 at her home. June was born June 11, 1927, in Benson, MN, to the late Ingvald and Emma (Knoblauch) Samsal. She attended Sheboygan Falls Grade School and Sheboygan Falls High School before graduating from Sheboygan Falls Teacher's College in 1947. On June 20, 1981, she married Andrew Martin at St. Luke United Methodist Church. He preceded her in death on February 20, 1996. June was employed by the Kohler Company for 24 years, where she worked as a order correspondent. She was a member of St. Luke United Methodist Church and the Lakeshore Chorale.
Survivors include her three sons, Steven (Margaret) Vreeke, Fair Oaks Ranch, TX, Scott Vreeke, Sheboygan and Stuart Vreeke, Sheboygan; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one sister, Jean Toepel.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers, John Samsal, Wesley Samsal and Virgil Samsal and two sisters, Joyce Massey and Viola Brewer.
A funeral service for June will be held on Wednesday, January 25, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. at Ballhorn Chapels Funeral and Cremation Care Center (1201 N. 8th Street, Sheboygan) with the Rev. Cindy Thompson officiating. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park, Kohler. Friends may call on Wednesday, at the funeral home, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
