Kenneth Roth

October 12, 1941 — December 4, 2017

Kenneth Martin Roth, age 76, passed away at home surrounded by his family after a courageous battle with cancer on Monday, December 4, 2017.
Ken was born October 12, 1941, in Sheboygan, to Edward and Helen (Hoeft) Roth. He graduated from Central High School in 1960, and went on to proudly serve in the US Marines from 1960-1963.
On December 5th, 1964 Ken and Sandra Erdmann were united in marriage. He graduated from Lakeland College with a degree in Sociology.
For over 30 years Ken worked at Wisconsin Crafted Plastics Inc. He attended First United Lutheran Church where he was an usher for many years.
He and his wife enjoyed traveling with family and friends. They went on many cruises throughout the world. After retirement he enjoyed reading, gardening and woodcarving. He loved spending time with all of his grandchildren. Ken had a gentle and quiet soul with a smile that spoke volumes.
Ken is survived by his wife of 53 years, Sandra; his 2 daughters and 1 son; Kelly (Mark) Anhalt, Andrea (Tom) Thorpe and Christopher (Tracy) Roth; his 7 grandchildren; Ashley (John) Maiwald, Brittany (Joe) Wuerl, Emily Thorpe, Tyson Roth, Peyton Roth, Hannah Thorpe and Madison Roth; his 3 great grandchildren; John Greyson and Ronan Maiwald and Finn Wuerl. He is further survived by his sister Marilyn (Ken) Carlson, brother Thomas (Mary) Roth, brother-in-law Jerry Zeinemann, brother-in-law Donald (Jeanie) Erdmann, sister-in-law Betty Erdmann, other cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife's parents Malinda and Theodore Erdmann, his sister Nancy Zeinemann, his brothers-in-law Ruben Erdmann, Roman Erdmann, Darwin Erdmann, sister-in-law Marge Erdmann.

A Celebration of Ken's Life will be held on Saturday, December 9, 2017 at 3:30PM at Ballhorn Chapels Funeral & Cremation Care Center, 1201 N. 8th St. Sheboygan, with Pastor Todd Smith officiating. Military Honors will follow the service. Relatives and friends may visit with the family on Saturday from 1:00 PM until the time of service.

In lieu of flowers a memorial is being established for St. Nicholas Home Health and Hospice.

A special thank you to Dr. Bettag and his staff at Matthews Oncology Associates and the St. Nicholas Home Health and Hospice Staff for their excellent care and kindness. We are grateful to our friends and family who supported Ken through his illness.
