Kikue T. Voss

Kikue T. Voss, 80, of Sheboygan passed away peacefully on Monday, April 3, 2023 surrounded by family.

She was born in Gotemba, Japan (which is near Mount Fuji) on September 9, 1942, to the late Ichitaro and Take (nee Watanabe) Teshima. Kikue moved to the United States in 1964. On July 16, 1964, Kikue joined in holy matrimony with John R. Voss in Tokyo, Japan.

She was a faithful member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Sheboygan, having been baptized and confirmed on September 6, 1970. She sung in the choir at church for many years.

Kikue taught Japanese cooking at Lakeshore Technical College in the 1970s. She owned and operated a Japanese catering business in the early 1980s. Cooking for her family and friends, gardening, knitting and crocheting were a few of Kikue’s favorite pastimes. Above all, she enjoyed spending quality time with her family and cats.

Kikue is survived by her husband; children David (Connie) Voss and Keyomie (Eric) Bennin; grandchildren, Kyle Bennin, Elyssa Bennin, Ryan Voss and Kaitlyn Voss; and other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, sister Asako Teshima and brothers, Shizuo Teshima, Matsuo Teshima, Saburo Teshima, Kyoichi Teshima and Isamu Teshima.
