Laura Kay O'Keefe

Laura O’Keefe of Sheboygan passed away peacefully on July 19, 2026, at the age of 82, surrounded by the love of her family after battling cancer.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Dennis O’Keefe, who passed away on April 23, 2013.

She is lovingly remembered by her children: Michael O’Keefe (Brenda), Kathleen Evenson, Shawn O’Keefe (Jessica), and Jeremy O’Keefe. She was a proud grandmother to Shawn O’Keefe Jr. (Abbi), Cole Ferguson, Kailey Evenson, Emily O’Keefe, and Abby O’Keefe, and

was overjoyed to become a great-grandmother to Elladee O’Keefe. She also leaves behind her faithful Frenchton companion, Rocky, who brought her endless joy.

She is also survived by her brothers, sisters, nephews, nieces, and other family members.

She graduated from Oostburg High School before attending beauty school. Throughout her working years, she enjoyed caring for others and building lasting friendships. She worked as a beautician and later served as a Laundry Supervisor at The American Club in Kohler, where she was known for her strong work ethic and dedication.

She embraced life with enthusiasm and found happiness in both simple pleasures and memorable adventures. She was an avid fan of the Green Bay Packers, Milwaukee Brewers, Milwaukee Bucks, and PGA Tour golf. She enjoyed camping, movies, music, theater performances, mini golf, and spirited conversations about politics and current events.

Christmas was one of her favorite times of year, and she looked forward to shopping for loved ones, celebrating with family, and creating lasting memories.

Above all, her greatest joy was spending time with her children and grandchildren. She cherished family gatherings and treasured every opportunity to be together.

She also loved to travel, creating wonderful memories in Las Vegas, Colorado, Florida, Arizona, New York, Minnesota, Iowa, Missouri, and Michigan.

She will be remembered for her love of family, her quick wit, her sense of humor, her generous heart, and the lasting impact she had on all who knew her.

All services will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice.
