Lois Meulbroek

Mrs. Lois J. Meulbroek passed away Friday, May 5, 2017 at Countryside Manor, her home for the last six years. She was 89 years old.
Lois was born August 21, 1927 in Sheboygan, the daughter of Jacob and Emma (nee Weinberger) Grosskopf. She graduated from Central High School in Sheboygan in 1945. On July 2, 1949, she was united in marriage with Leroy Meulbroek in Sheboygan. They were married for 29 years until his death in 1978. Lois was an excellent caregiver and support during Leroy's 18 years of illness.
For nearly 40 years, Lois was a successful Avon Representative in the Sheboygan Area. She enjoyed working with people and considered many of her customers to be her friends. Lois was a long time member of Our Savior Lutheran Church in Sheboygan.
Lois is survived by her daughters: Connie (Reed) Beiersdorf of Kohler and Lynn (Larry) Acker of Poplar Grove, IL. She is further survived by her grandchildren: Corinne (Bradley) Wicklund, Erin (Zachary) Pethan, Laura (Bruce) Paluch and Luke (Carissa) Acker; great-grandchildren: Arlene, Edith, Walter, Nettie, Rosalind, Emma, Kira, Alivia and Addison; her sister Shirley Hoell of Sheboygan; sisters-in-law Darline Meulbroek and Joan Rothe, both of Sheboygan, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A Memorial Service will be held at 6PM on Friday, May 12, 2017 at Ballhorn Chapels, 1201 North 8th Street, Sheboygan. Chaplain Rick Cawthon will officiate the services. The family will receive visitors at the Chapel on Friday from 4-6PM. Lois will be laid to rest beside Leroy at Wildwood Cemetery in Sheboygan.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Zion Covenant Church.
