Lorraine C. Kaiser, of Sheboygan, passed away Tuesday morning, October 10, 2017 at Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice in Sheboygan Falls. She was 95 years old.
Lorraine was born October 21, 1921 in Sheboygan, the daughter of George and Viola (nee Ibs) Hensel. She graduated from high school in Sheboygan. On November 8, 1941, she was united in marriage with Rudolph Kaiser in Sheboygan.
She had been a member of the Turner Hall Gymnastic Club, where she participated in the parallel bars, rings and trapeze. She was a talented athlete, and was active in baseball, basketball, swimming and ice skating. She loved music and was a talented singer who had the chance to sing on the radio at the age of 12. As the daughter of a clothing tailor, she was very fashion forward and designed all of her clothing throughout her adult life. The wife of a military officer and a Senior Advisor for the Agency for International Development, Lorraine lived in Germany and the far east, traveling all over the world. She was the mother of 4 boys and 1 daughter, loved to cook, and her baking was phenomenal.
Lorraine is survived by her children: Rudolph D. Kaiser of NC, Tom C. Kaiser of CA, John J. Kaiser of CO and Tamara (Donald) Wilson of MD. She is further survived by 6 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband Rudolph, her son Robert, and an infant son.
A Graveside Service will be held at 2PM on Friday, October 13, 2017 at Wildwood Cemetery (Block 33) in Sheboygan.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Wounded Warrior Project.
