Margaret Schweikert

Margaret A. Schweikert of Sheboygan, passed away Friday evening, March 9, 2018 at Sheboygan Senior Community. She was 95 years old.

Margaret was born June 10, 1922 in Haven, the daughter John P. and Norma (nee Hills) Hauch. She attended Haven Grade School, St. Peter Claver School, and graduated from Sheboygan North High School in 1940. On March 15, 1941, she was united in marriage with Gordon Schweikert in Dubuque, IA.

Margaret was a member of St. Paul's UCC in Sheboygan. She and Gordon were longtime members of Pine Hills where they made many friends and memories. After Gordon's retirement, the couple moved to Florida in the mid 1980's. Margaret loved her Florida community, and enjoyed golfing. In 1996, Margaret moved back to Wisconsin after Gordon's passing. She loved her family and cherished the adventures and phone calls she shared with her sisters and brothers. She will be remembered by those who loved her for her strong will, and her kind and generous nature.

She is survived by her sisters: Bernice Stanskas and Delores Vrckovic, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Margaret is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Gordon and 5 brothers: Hilarian "Lefty", Francis, Robert, Alois "Butch" and Kenny.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, March 15, 2018 at Ballhorn Chapels Funeral & Cremation Care Center, 1201 N. 8th St. in Sheboygan. The family will receive visitors from 10:00 -11:00 am. She will be laid to rest at Lutheran Cemetery.

In honor of Margaret's steadfast commitment to Gordon and his battle with Alzheimers, memorials are suggested to the Alzheimers Association.
