Maria Rivera

Maria "Mercedes" Rivera, formerly of New York, passed away Saturday evening, December 8, 2018 at Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice. She was 96 years old. Maria was born July 20, 1922 in Sabana Grande, Puerto Rico to Jose and Maria (nee Montacalbo) Rivera.
Maria is survived by her granddaughters: Lisa (Duane) Herman, Dianne (Heriberto) Ocasio, and Kimberly (Bruce) Brown, 8 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. She is preceded in death by her daughter Olga (Ignacio) Cruz and four brothers.
A Memorial Service for Maria will be held at 3:30 on Saturday, December 15, 2018 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 829 Faile Street in Bronx, NY.
