Marion R. (Mandel) Rieboldt, age 96, Sheboygan, WI passed away peacefully at home with her children by her side on May 17, 2024. She was born in Sheboygan on September 22, 1927, the daughter of the late Richard and Eleonora (Brandt) Mandel. Marion graduated from Trinity Lutheran School, class of 1941, and Sheboygan North High School, class of 1945. She worked at Sears, Roebuck & Co. until her marriage to Ned W. Rieboldt on June 7, 1958, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Sheboygan, WI.
In her earlier years she enjoyed bowling in the Lutheran Ladies League, fishing, golfing, sewing, and coaching the children in recreation teams; T-ball, girls’ softball, with her daughter Heidi’s 9th grade softball team winning the city championship. Upon Ned’s retirement, together they enjoyed traveling, attending sporting events, cross country skiing, walks, bike rides, and visiting children and grandchildren.
As a longtime member of St. Andrew Lutheran Church, she participated in Circle Bible Study and taught Sunday School. After the closing of St. Andrew, Marion once again became a member of Trinity Lutheran Church where she enjoyed worshiping with her “pew sisters”, along with many new and renewed friendships.
Sharing her faith and love with her family were Marion’s priorities in life. Her children and grandchildren remember her as a loving and caring mother and Oma, who always placed the needs of others before her own. Her humor and competitive spirit will be missed.
Marion is survived by sons William (Lisa) Rieboldt, Grafton, WI, Benjamin (Margaret) Rieboldt, Buffalo Grove, IL, daughter Heidi (Roderick) Wiese, Northwood, IA, grandchildren Ryan Rieboldt, Daniel Rieboldt, Joseph (Kamila) Rieboldt, Matthew (Brianna) Rieboldt, Shelby Shields, sister-in-law Kay Rieboldt, Walnut Creek, CA, and cousins, nieces, and nephews.
