Marvin Schueffner, Jr., age 91, was met in heaven by his loving wife Joan on Sunday, December 31, 2023.

Marvin was born on October 2, 1932, in Sheboygan to parents Marvin and Anna (Suprick) Schueffner.  He graduated in 1951 from Central High School in Sheboygan. He proudly served in the Marine Corp from 1952-1955.  Following his military service, he continued to serve his community by joining the Sheboygan Police Department.  He retired in 1990 after over 30 years of faithful service.

He was formerly married to Ruth Roth in 1955. In 1983, he was united in marriage to Joan Hefling Gehr.

Marvin loved to camp, golf, and bowl with friends and family. His dogs were near and dear to his heart, especially his two German Shepherds Heidi and Sasha. His children fondly remember that he loved giving haircuts to all the kids in the neighborhood (whether they wanted one or not), playing golf with his retired police buddies, taking care of his truck “Black Beauty.” He also loved to travel.  One notable trip was with his police friends to see the Twin Towers.

Marvin is survived by his children Steve, Kim and their daughter Amy, Mark, Chris and their children Mark (Emily) Schueffner, Sarah (Brandon) Miota, Scott, Kay and their children Allie (fiancé Malcom Callis) Kober, Danny (Amber) Christel, and Jackie (Phil) Plagemann, Robert, Casey and their children Jordan (Boon) Phonesaythip, Dualy Schueffner (Kaila Bricco) and Danielle Schueffner.  He is further survived by Joan’s children that he loved dearly, Jack (Sandy) Gehr and her children, Heide (Bruce) Doolittle and their children Aaron Doolittle (Katie Mayer), and Jared Doolittle (Dan Koerber). Kurt Gehr (Rebecca Stroschein) and his son Karson.  Also survived by many great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to his beloved wife Joan, Marvin is preceded in death by his parents Marvin and Anna, his sister Audrey Wimmer.
