Mary Reinhardt

Mary C. Reinhardt, age 94, of Sheboygan, passed away peacefully with her daughter at her side on Friday evening, October 13, 2017 at Sheboygan Senior Community. She was born March 7, 1923 in Solvay, New York to Charles and Angelina (LaVerme) Francemone. She was a graduate of Solvay High School, Class of 1941 and served in the US Navy during WWII.
Mary was previously married to Roger Graefe.
On September 3, 1977 Mary was united in marriage to Ray Reinhardt. The couple enjoyed wintering in Gulf Shores, Alabama and visiting the grandchildren. She was Ray's caregiver for a number of years prior to his death on September 10, 2001.
For twenty-seven years Mary was employed at Schultz Sav-o Stores in the accounts payable department, retiring in 1988.
She was a member of St. Luke United Methodist Church and participated in Rachel Circle and the monthly Food Pantry. She was active in Sheboygan Co. Meals on Wheels program. In her younger years she enjoyed bowling, golfing and socializing with good friends. She also was a member of the Sheboygan Elk's Lodge.
Mary is survived by her son, Gary Graefe of Sheboygan; her daughter, Gail (John) Shinners of Covington, LA; her step-daughter, Susie Ollikainen of Pingree Grove, IL; her grandchildren, Katie (Jermain) James of Hammond, LA, Christopher (Anna) Shinners of Delray, FL; Vonya Shinners and Dasha Shinners, both of Covington, LA; five great-grandchildren; her sister-in-law, Donna Webb of Sheboygan, who has been a lifelong friend; her dear friends, The Kohlbeck family; her helpful neighbors; and other relatives and friends.
In addition to her husband, Ray, she was preceded in death by her grandson, John Michael Shinners and her beloved dog, Fluffie.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 21, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Ballhorn Funeral Chapels. Rev.Cindy Thompson, Pastor of St. Luke United Methodist Church and Rev. Roger Clapp will co-officiate. A time of visitation and support will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
A memorial fund has been established in her name for the Sheboygan County Humane Society.
