Maybelle Olson

Maybelle "Min" Rose (Neuendorf) Olson, 85, passed away Monday, December 23, 2013 at Sheboygan Senior Community. Min was born December 8, 1928 in Juneau, WI to the late William and Selma (Mietzel) Neuendorf. She received her diploma from Dodge County Normal School in 1950, which allowed her to teach kindergarten through eighth grade. She taught in several rural schools at that time. In 1971, she graduated from UW-Oshkosh with a BS in Education. She taught for 28 years in the Sheboygan school district. On June 30, 1951 she married Jack D. Olson in Juneau. They enjoyed 40 years together until his death in 1992. She was a member of St. Luke United Methodist Church and many educational organizations. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She was very active and social. She liked walking, sewing, knitting, baking and her beloved pets. Min is survived by her daughter, Jackie (Craig) Booher, Sherwood; her son, Daniel Olson, Sheboygan; four grandchildren, Amanda (John II) Tracy, Northfield, MN, Andrew Booher, Milwaukee, Krista (fiancé, Brian Herman) Olson, De Pere and Thomas Olson, Milwaukee; three great-grandchildren, Elizabeth, Noah and John III Tracy, Northfield, MN. She is also survived by two sisters, Doris Maas, Waupun, Etta Mae Soldner, Lowell and one brother, Ronald Neuendorf, West Bend. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack, daughter-in-law, Robin Olson, two brothers and three sisters. The funeral service for Maybelle Olson will be held on Thursday, December 26, 2013 at 11:00 a.m., at St. Luke United Methodist Church (Corner of 7th and Ontario, Sheboygan) with the Rev. Ric Olson officiating. Friends may call on Thursday, at the church, from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. Entombment will follow at the Gardens of Peace Mausoleum.
