Michael Taylor

August 9, 1958 — August 9, 2021

On March 3rd 2021, Michael Taylor passed away at the age of 62.

Michael was born on May 10th 1958 in Montreal, Quebec to Richard and Josephine Taylor. When he was 6 years old, he and his family moved to Westport, CT where he spent the next 18 years. On June 26th, 1982 he married the love of his life, Margaret Taylor (Kovac). After moving to Sheboygan, WI they raised two sons, Patrick and Christopher.

Michael was a talented and highly regarded musician, and he carried that passion for music throughout his life.  He played in numerous orchestras, jazz bands, and theatre productions.  For over 20 years, Michael would regularly play timpani at Holy Name Catholic church in Sheboygan. Michael loved making people happy, and he showed that love through cooking, conversation, and an ability to make anyone feel at home.

Michael is preceded in death by his father, Richard and mother, Josephine. He is survived by his wife, Margaret; his sons, Patrick (Sarah) and Christopher (Rachel); his brothers, Rick (Deb) and Geoff (Joanne); his grandchildren, Aaron, Lincoln, Solomon, and Maisie, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

His family has decided that, in lieu of flowers, the perfect remembrance for Michael would be to donate to your favorite charity or to enjoy some Dave Brubeck while cooking dinner for a houseful of friends and family.
